PRECESSION ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through precessiongame.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you sign up through our "Board the Vanguard" form, we collect:
- Your email address — so we can send you the companion novella and future updates.
- Your name (optional) — so we can address you properly.
- Your stated interests (optional) — the topics you select, so we can understand what our audience cares about and send more relevant updates.
- Your consent — a record that you agreed to receive emails from us.
We also receive basic email engagement data (whether an email was opened or a link clicked) through our email provider.
We do not collect payment information. We do not sell anything through this site.
Why we collect it
Solely to send you:
- Your free copy of the companion novella Before the Fold
- Development updates, story and world material, and news about PRECESSION
That's it. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not run ad retargeting.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
We use the following third-party services to operate the site, and your information passes through them:
- MailerLite — our email service provider. They store your email address and send our emails on our behalf. Their privacy policy governs how they handle that data.
- Google reCAPTCHA — used on our signup form to prevent automated spam submissions. Google's privacy policy applies to that service.
- Webflow — our website host.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your information is removed from our active mailing list.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click, no questions.
- Request access or deletion — email us at updates@precessiongame.com and we'll tell you what we have on file or delete it, whichever you'd like.
- Correct your information — email us and we'll update it.
If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR including access, correction, deletion, restriction, and portability of your data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Exercising any of these is as simple as emailing us.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Cookies
Our email provider and reCAPTCHA may set cookies necessary for their functionality. We do not use cookies to track you for advertising purposes.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email.
